“Can You Hear Me Now?”

Effective communication is fundamental to all human relationships and endeavors. In this breakout we will explore the importance of effective communication, common causes of “noise” that makes it difficult for people to “hear” each other, and basic tools to quiet the noise. We will also identify conversation tools and practices guaranteed to improve the health of any communication process, so that those we work with and care about truly feel they have been heard and understood.

Developing The Win-Win Mindset

Let’s be honest, none of us really like conflict. In fact some of us work overtime attempting to avoid it all together.  A lot of this boils down to the mindset that one person will win and one person will lose.  Would you like to learn to shift this mindset? What if we could adopt a “No Loser’s” mindset to help in these types of situations? Together, let’s rise to the challenge; learning to have more solution focused, “win/win” conversations.

Speaker: Shelli Schilt

About the Speaker

As a business owner and a biblical counselor at LifePoint Church, Shelli has adopted a “Win/Win” approach to working with teams and clients. She is passionate about sharing what she has learned to help others find a greater sense of freedom, satisfaction and joy in life. Shelli and her husband enjoy outdoor activities and spending time with their three grandchildren.

More than Minions; Unleashing Your Team’s Potential

What kind of team are you building and developing? Does your team think for themselves, or are you in the habit of doing their thinking for them? A team is much more than simply having enough minions to get all the work done. In this breakout we explore how to value your team’s differences and invite teammates to show up with all their unique gifts and strengths. This will help ignite their passion to fulfill their mission on the team, whether at home, work or play.

Speakers: Sunny Cain & Tammy Claughton

About the Speaker

Sunny Cain:
Sunny is a dynamic leader who engages people with her authenticity, humor, courage, and love for God. Building “dream teams,” where she engages individuals and helps ignite their passions, is one of Sunny’s specialties. She brings 15 years of experience in leading teams both in the marketplace, as well as within the church where she serves as the Associate Pastor of Ministry Engagement. She is devoted to her husband, Paul, and their 4 children

Tammy Claughton: With over 25 years of ministry and teaching experience, Tammy has a passion for creating, empowering, and equipping teams to live out and share the transforming power of Jesus. She enjoys spending time with her husband of 29 years, her 2 adult daughters, and their 7 amazing grandchildren.

The Pony Express: Learning to Prioritize Ponies Over the Mail

When we talk about gifts, the “gift of limits” doesn’t always feel like it belongs. We can believe the lie that the longer and harder we work, the more we will achieve. Truth is: rest, self care and the permission to say ’no’ can and will make you more effective over the long haul. How can we create a culture of healthy boundaries in our lives wherever we go – work, home, ministry – for ourselves and those we influence? This workshop will provide practical, actionable steps to create and live healthy boundaries for yourself and others.
