Are you relying on God’s purpose and power? We often rely on ourselves, or others for change, for answers, or for hope. How often do we turn to God first when we are in times of trouble and despair? Another question to ask ourselves is whether or not we seek God’s purpose and power when we aren’t in the midst of trials. Are we regularly giving thanks and praise for what God is already doing in our lives? Have you taken the time to recognize all that God has done and is currently doing in and through you? Take time this week to reflect on how God’s purpose and power is at work in your life today.
“My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.” 1 Corinthians 2:4-5
