WIND AND FIRE - WEEK 5

Do you like to wait? Of course you don’t, most of us don’t like to wait. As Christians we are waiting, waiting for Christ’s return, waiting to get to be with Him in heaven, and internally we just can’t wait until these things happen! But what do we do while we are waiting on Him? Jesus commands us to “love one another”. In your waiting on His return, we are not to just claim to be in Christ, we are to show that we are in Christ. God wants us, in our waiting, to be an example to those who have not yet met Jesus in their lives. We do this by showing love to one another.
In Matthew 7, verse 20, Jesus says “Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them”. In repentance, through the Holy Spirit, we are guided away from sin, and toward good works in His name. This week, ask the Holy Spirit to show you what things, you need to let go of, and what things He is asking you to do.
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35
